Do you know how much you meant to me:
The elated effect you had on my psyche;
How sharing our dreams gave me reason
To get myself out of bed in the morning?
Do you know that your effervescent smiles
Warmed me up from the inside;
How just walking alongside you each day
Gave me peace in a profound way?
Do you know how it felt so good
To simply know that you understood?
And because of you my tears dried out;
You never gave me a reason to doubt.
Do you know how fondly it is that I recall
Our escapades together - one and all?
I like to believe we'll meet up again,
My fair weather and rainy day friend.
