Doctor's Office Poem by Claude H Oliver II

Doctor's Office

From different places and social strata
With different stages of discomfort
Some alone, some with others
All come to this destination
What e’er their station in life
Seeking the special someone or some ones
For help with an affliction
To address pain of care or care of pain
Endless list of ailments
Acute to chronic, damaged organs to broken bones
More endless treatments
From a kind touch to surgery and stitches
From brief to long term to lifelong.
Costs – miniscule to prohibitive
All here for help through this life
Which always ends in our demise.
Why? ? When our end is to die?
To make a smoother less painful journey
Learn to live with adversity
Learn to accept a hand
Appreciate the good in our life
Pass these on to others.
