Does Anybody Care? Poem by Talmadge Rogalla

Does Anybody Care?

Thinking of loved ones dead,
And ones in the shadow of death,
A painful heart as heavy as lead,
Pounding slowly with every breath.
So quiet, so lonely, so utterly dead,
Nobody present to console me,
So lonely, a moment full of dread,

And there is still blackness here,
Hello is anybody out there,
Perhaps somebody to share a beer,
Perhaps somebody who has a care,

Trying to see the forest for trees,
To be or not I say with a sigh,
As I tearfully gaze up to see,
Angels dancing in the sky.
