Does It Matter That Much At All Poem by Francis Duggan

Does It Matter That Much At All

Does it matter that much at all
If your dreams are big or small
Anonymity as well as fame
To you one one day will be the same
Since one day we have got to die
Human immortality seems based on a lie
With what I say few may agree
But this is how life seems to me
And what is success anyway?
The wise one has been known to say
That it is contentment of mind
A rare gift amongst Humankind
The happy one whistle and sing
His gift of joy is a marvellous thing.
