Dolphin Poem by Miri AMR

Dolphin my friend,
when you speak in your language,
you bring cheer to my sadness,
Dolphin my friend.
as you dance,
as you play in your vast living home.
Yes you, creature of such grace,
beauty and caress
you dance, you laugh, you sing,
Dolphin. Oh Dolphin.
Secretly, I long and secretly
envy your miraculous existence.
I wish to be as free as you,
to think nothing of life and
enjoy every moment,
without the pressure,
without the agony of living.
I quickly, secretly forget,
dolphin my friend,
you are unique. You are a great creature.
You cannot be me. As you are you.
And, I am glad, dolphin my friend.
