Domestic Violence Poem by Alessandra Liverani

Domestic Violence

Rating: 5.0

Please forgive me, you know last night
When I coated your lungs with gunk
I didn't mean it at all
It was only because I was drunk

That artery I clogged of yours
Is something I truly regret
I love you with all of my heart
If you didn't love me, I'd fret

I promise I'll never do it again
Can we please try once more
You know you can't live without me
Now come on, open the door

No, I want you to do it again. Over and over. I can't live without you, I need my cigarettes. Please, fill my lungs up with more poison!
