Dominate Predator Poem by Teresa Dearing

Dominate Predator

Rating: 4.0

What man does not remember,
He is doomed to repeat.
It is what we have sown,
It is thus that we reap.

Many are we now,
Predators we dominate.
For land or treasure,
Love, power, and hate.

Thus rues our salvation,
No nation is safe,
Respect we have for none,
Not even the waif.

The cure and curse,
Is permanent sleep,
But who are the wolves,
And whom are the sheep?

For what we do not remember,
We are doomed to repeat.
The question is now,
Will we die in our sleep?
