Don’t Be Too Sure Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Don’t Be Too Sure

Rating: 0.5

You think you have the battle won
Content you feel at ease
You have no thought for Christ God’s Son
And do just as you please

We all have need with God to speak
We need God dwell inside
We need His Spirit help us seek
The truth of Christ who died

You felt at ease to turn Him down
You spat in Jesus’ face
You live your life in Sodom town
And think it no disgrace

The day will dawn when all is lost
When darkness comes to reign
The bridge to life cannot be crossed
And Christ can’t bear your pain

“Too late! Too late! ” Will be the cry
The bible states it well
Who lives to sin until they die
Will find eternal hell

It’s true all flesh returns to dust
Though drink not Satan’s guile
Many will rise to God’s disgust
So few will see His smile

Do not be fooled, the Lord is true
But Satan’s also real
To live; you need God’s Light in you
You need His Holy Seal

Now if you hear God call today
Don’t sit around so dumb
Take heed to all He’s had to say
And answer, “Lord please come”
