Don'T Bother Poem by Genevieve Surrender

Don'T Bother

She told me
her hair felt like a waterfall
of painted feathers.

I told her,
'don't bother,
your neighbor won't notice
that you ran over her hydrangea
when you came home drunk
from your sister's baby shower.'
