Don’t Feel Obliged Poem by Marc Robinson

Don’t Feel Obliged

Please don’t feel obliged to sit down next to me
If you don’t want to.
Don’t sit next to me if you aren’t my real friend,
Don’t do it coz you don’t want to hurt my feelings.
If you don’t want to sit next tome then don’t.
Don’t feel obliged to help me,
Be all nice to my face
And the behind my back you joke about me to others.
Don’t feel obliged to be my friend.

I know this feeling so well! I understand the thoughts completely. I could almost be saying the words myself.
