Pablo Neruda

Don't Go Far Off

Don't go far off, not even for a day, because --

Don't leave me for the fraction of a second
That moment i may stop breathing and have my end
I love to live in the comfort of your strong will
Until the day when i am carried to my grave to be still. (Report) Reply

dont leave me for a day.. for a minute.. for a second... only someone who knows love can write this.. there r many who would love to say this but couldnt.. couldnt stop those who have made up their mind to go.. but i think pablo neruda gives words to their anguish.. (Report) Reply

Such a beautiful poem! ! The author's plea to his heart's lover
Don't leave me for a second, my dearest, becomes a song of adoration! !
An awesome author! ! (Report) Reply

Oh, may your silhouette never dissolve on the beach; may your eyelids never flutter into the empty distance.
I could never read these words and not be touched by the desolation felt..... only a true soul could place these words with such meaning...beautiful.... (Report) Reply
