Don't Know Anymore Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Don't Know Anymore

Ego

You used to be my friend.
We will be again.
But today we fought to the end.
We were using our egos.

The topic of enemy line,
Had nothing to do with words fine.
These words were deleterious.
They were harmful and eogtiscal.

And so our battle raged on and on.
We fought and fought and fought.
We forgoet each other's evil words not.
For our egos we had to fight.

But then we were silent and lonely.
What was life without a friend.
What was life without friendship in the end.
It was the ego the enemy and humility the friend.
