Don'T Roll Your Eyes Poem by Abby Sze

Don'T Roll Your Eyes

Some people used to look down at you,
Maybe you are young,
Just a kid,
You've got nothing for them to respect,
Nor you've got a bunch of money to slap their face.

Some look down at you,
At their first glance.
Your messy hair and aweward outfit,
Seems emitting some sense of freak,
Seems another regular guy who can't find a job, or
Working job with minimum salary.

People look down at me
Because I am not important.
A small guy standing next to my boss,
Who cares.
Squeezing their smile,
Speaking words of praise,
Trying to impress
So their could Please the big one but
When they turn their head,
They give you a cold face,
Pretending they can't hear you.

I don't really mind how they treat,
I sigh.
We are but a tiny tiny dust here in grand universe.
Who are we to determine
What is important,
What is big.

A queen of ant is big
We could simply kill it with a finger.
The lion king is strong and fast
But nothing when we got a gun.
Human race are dorminant
But got killed without air for five minutes.

Whenever I think of how small are we in universe,
I stop and look around
then I think,
Who am I here to look down at you.
