Don'T Say You Love Me Poem by Bron Kozakiewicz

Don'T Say You Love Me

Please don't ever say you love me,
Because I just couldn't deal with that.
It's not that I don't want your love,
I could take any amount of that.
It's just that I've been told those words before,
And nothing came of them then.
So to me those words are like the kiss of death,
And they mean so little when it all comes to an end.
It's far better to have love shown in different ways
Than it is to be told those empty words.
A loving gesture can mean so much more
Than three small words that are too often heard.
