Don'T Tell Me Poem by Michelle Asswit

Don'T Tell Me

His hands so cold
Sent shivers down my spine
His eyes so bold
They looked right into my mind
He told me a story about his life
He told me about his kids, his wife
He told me how once they were his
And after just a moment they fell into the abyss
The abyss of his mind, that is...
Hours of speaking to the eccentric man
I rose up and began to ran
Away from the truth I was holding
Away from the pain I was unfolding
