Lately I find
You on my mind
Lately it seems
You dominate my dreams
I can't explain
But I won't complain

I haven't seen you in years
When I last did, you left in tears
I know that it has been
So very many years

Why all of a sudden
Do you reappear
Could it be in my heart
That I want you near

I don't understand
Why I think of you at all
You left without a word
Not once did you ever call

I don't need or want you around
My life has been going fine
I don't have the strength no more
To watch you waste my time
