Doorway Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Doorway

Doorway

The door opened and then shut.
It's mind not open to anything.
It's heart not open to love.
This door just decided to shut.

However many loves I felt,
I've never felt just like yours.
You were the one who opened the shut door.
And let the streaming love stream in.

My heart opened up then.
I said I believed in love.
Love was a flying swallow
In a sky of white clouds.

You opened the door
To our love
Bigger than big.
Our love's doors now open.
