Down To It Poem by Jayson Howard

Down To It

Lying in your arms, watching the sun come up.
Remember who you are, forget the little stuff.
Because we’ve been running, our time is coming,
to finally let go…

And I’m safe with you, you’re safe with me.
We’ll hit the road, we’ll be free.
We’ll leave this place, we won’t look back.
We’ll get our lives, right on track.

You’ve lost a lot, I’ve lost some too,
But we can’t stop, we can only push through.
Because you’ve been here before, when you were happy to
run out that door.
But I know...

I’m safe with you, you’re safe with me.
We’ll hit the road, we’ll be free.
We’ll leave this place, we won’t look back.
We’ll get our lives, right on track.

And when it all comes down to it,
you can’t talk, just do it.
Because I’m safe with you, and you’re safe with me.
We’ll leave this town, and we’ll break free.

I’m safe with you, you’re safe with me.
We’ll hit the road, we’ll be free.
We’ll leave this place, we won’t look back.
We’ll get our lives, right on track.

[Yay for songwriting.: D]
