Drastic Changes Poem by Kelly Zion

Drastic Changes

I used to look out the window
at all the dreams I couldn't have

But I've changed my outlook
I've sent the bricks out to look
and they've returned, one by one
broke my heart, left me untouched
So I've changed my outlook
don't ask me why I now look

I've broke the glass, I've bent the bars
I'll escape by sliding doors
close this one, there are no returns
no need to keep hanging on
Repunzel, let down your blood

Run away, follow the stream
scream for all that still will need
scream for those left here to bleed
no need now to save this scream
drastic changes form drastic tragedies

I've broken open the window, I've taken a look,
climbed out as far as I could
but here's the climax, play the drums
I'm climbing up to fall back off
watch from below, clap your hands; applaud
at least my skull will have an addience

Make way for me, mark the street with chalk
make room for me, I'm jumpin off
the 'Bullet' syndroms in my blood

I'm so sick of just staring out
of empty eyes when your not around
vacation time's come early now
fabricated love stories fade out
watch my dead body splayed out
I'd say it's too late now

Ever wonder why now?
Finders can't find what can't be found.
These broken eyes are closing now
peace for me so shut your mouth
No way to overtake me now
I'm happy I'm escaping now

drifting slowly towards my peace
drastic changes help us to sleep

drifting slowly towards my peace
drastic changes help ease our pain.
