Dread Not My 'Locks Poem by Clark Dark

Dread Not My 'Locks

Dread not my 'locks
for they are interwoven
not to induce dread or fear or pause,
but an essence.

They are me!
An external manifestation
of the internal,
if you will.

My 'locks are more than follicles
encapsulating dead keratinized cells.
They are antennas
in which to intuit by.

My 'locks swing before my face
and I know that I am.
