Dream Catcher Poem by Half Past

Dream Catcher

i lay my head down softly upon my pillow
memories fade in and out
some in black and white
others in color
i remember my friends, family, and lovers
i pull my covers up tight around my body
and smile as i look back fondly
everything comes rushing to my mind
the songs, the laughter, the talks, and hugs
all the experiences etched in my midnight canvas
the quiet comfort shared by my pillow
as i dream of those days
i don't count sheep before bedtime
i don't need too..
my memories keep me company
they tuck me in bed at night
