Dream Or Not Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Dream Or Not

What would you think if Christ you'd see
Angels gathered around
Jesus, beckons, calls you and me
Trumpets begin to sound

While both of us walking hearing
Voices ring out clear
All over others appearing
Wild suddenly cheer

Is this a dream we're living through?
What could this be, and how
These questions now I'm asking you
Something should happen now

Is The Lord God sinners rousing?
Is time now growing short?
Selfishness, eagerly dowsing
Hearing life's sad report

Could this be true, not quite sure
I'm asking true to say
Could both of us here endure
Life's scrutiny today

I say I'm Christian, same as you?
My family boast they are
How will we fare at life's review
How do you feel thus far

Myself, I feel rather queasy
My prayer life, could be more
Reading the bible's not easy
Someone's knocking my door

'My God it's You. the dream was real
Not always am I free
Please accept my honest appeal
My foolishness! I see'.....
