Dream Yet Unborn Poem by Brielle King

Dream Yet Unborn

Rating: 5.0

With each waking moment
I come closer to the day
When I shall travel from one world
To the next
From the womb
To the earth

Along the way
I hear voices
Which I learn to recognize
I feel warm and safe
Wrapped up with no place to go

Who knows what I may become
Once I enter
The unknown other world
Will I even survive the journey?

I am a dream
Yet unborn
A figment of imagination
To some
But to others
A magnitude of endless possiblities

I am joy and sadness,
happiness and fear,
love and resentment,
wonder and bitterness,
awe and anger.

I am a well-spring
of potentially wonderful things
Inventor, sculptor, fixing things,
curing people, a light in the world

So much potential
And still
I am a dream
Yet unborn
