“dreamandias”(Ozymandias Sonnet) Poem by Munia Khan

“dreamandias”(Ozymandias Sonnet)

And I step into the road to dreamland
To meet an angel made of heaven’s stone
The blues of the sea start kissing the sand
And the old moon above begins to frown
I hear the sound of my own fate’s command
When the stony angel wants me to read
The book of fortune on miracle things
And the stars bless me while my soul’s well fed
By the assured dream as the lights appear
Where I touch the angel before the kings
But the kings of dreams are left in despair
They curse my dream to fall into decay
Then my angel’s gone yet the stone lies bare
Thus my dream ends when the stone fades away.
