Dreamcatcher Poem by Sky McCoy

Dreamcatcher

Planning my dreams
Listening to me weep
Observing the lies
Please someone here my cry
Disappointment fills my day
For everyone who makes me pay
Screaming, venting, throwing your every emotion
Crying in my sleep but all I want is a feeling of devotion
Bottling these feelings in
Giving effort with a paper and a pen
Life has thrown many obstacles my way
And every single thing causes my own personal internal decay
When will I awake from this nightmare you call a dream?
You say you're here for me but you don't act like a part of my team
Dreamcatcher I beg you to open my eyes
No one really hears my shouts, screams, and cries
Dreamcatcher take my life away before I awake
I never rebel or say anything back because all I do is take take take
Dreamcatcher tell me I have a heart that's pure
Take my pain away and offer me the cure
Dreamcatcher bleed me of all emotions and feelings
Everything feels so real so I can't and must not be dreaming
Dreamcatcher, I pray to you one last time
This horrible fate shall become mine

This is a tragic situation. You need to believe in life. Please read 'Acceptance of Fate'. Then read, 'A Thing Called Hope'. Fate is not the end of a dream. It is only the beginning. I'll suggest another poem, purely for your enjoyment about the things to avoid. Greenwolfe 1962
