Dreamer And The Dawn Poem by gershon hepner

Dreamer And The Dawn

The dreamer, Oscar said, is one
who needs the moon’s bright light to find
his way. He had a lot of fun
by proving this, but lost his mind
at dawn, aware of light before
all other people could perceive
what in the night they don’t ignore,
but in the daytime don’t believe.

“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” Oscar Wilde.
