Dreamer Doer Poem by Harlan Simantel

Dreamer Doer

joseph had a dream
his brothers jealous
devised a scheme

to thwart his 'favorite' role
traded him away
to faraway egypt
revenge made their day

i bet he was homesick
at such a young age
far from home
in a prison cage

but he relied on the Lord
to see him thru
was diligent and honest
in all he do

in the pit of the dungeon
when all looked bleak
he just kept working
tho he was up a creek

with no paddle to row
out of options and stuck
dreams took him places
he never thought he'd go

never stop dreaming
the lesson shines thru
rely on God
and do all you can do
