Dreaming Poem by Leah Bur

Dreaming

Rating: 5.0

A sunset sets the mood to start.
Walking along the sea.
It tickles my toes.
The sand is so white,
It almost looks like snow!

But what is this?
Ah the wind is anew!

The sunset has gone.
It is dark now too.
In a jungle am I,
This is new!
Trees touch the stars overhead.
Animals whisper over the land.
But I am not frightened!
I'll tell you why too.
I'm dancing with fairies!
Flying! It's true!

But, oh now it changes.
Where am I now?

An old-fashioned Arabian home.
Perfumes and scents.
Passion all over!
Beauty and grace!
Nothing else ruled over!

Oh, but now a worldly mother calls!
'Tis time to eat! '
For a moment my heart sinks.
For the dream is gone.
But the smell wafting from the kitchen awakens my sences.
No dream could ever feign that scent!
And what of the dreams?
They will come again...
And what will adventures will happen next?
For that,
I can't wait!
