Dreaming Name
Yesterday my name was Danette.
Tomorrow my name will be
Strong-willed Asian woman.
I will embrace my life with kisses
And brace myself for challenges
With my strength.
A red gift kissed
Drifts into dreams
Wisps of fragrance
Hinting of roses
Blooming garden.
It lands
Gently on 35 years
And celebrates.
