When did he write this poem?
I dont mean to offend anybody, but I don't like this poem at all. Yes, the meaning behind it is slightly inspiring. The words themselves, however, are too simple and childish. The rhyming sounds forced and I'm certain my 11 year old sister could have thought up this poem. not to say I don't like Langston Hughes; some of his poems are good. But this is not one of them.

This is my very first poem that I've read by Langston Hughes and I still love it even though I first read it in 3rd grade and I'm already in highschool! ! !
