I like very much this poem, I encourage dreaming because life without dreams are no thing.I think also that no person can achieve any thing without dreams.I advice people to dream because dreams are so beautiful and make a nice life. (Report) Reply

I think dreams are reflecting someone's character; because in your dreams you can realize who you are... But sometimes you're abiding by reality and finding yourself throwing your high hopes and setting your dreams aside... (Report) Reply

Hello every body. Let me say' wake up and dream' You may think it is a paradox. I think no, this is the new notion I understood from mr Hughes poem'DREAMS'. Let us together live with dreams. I am sure that deep down every one is convinced that is true. Do not give up hope in life, just go on. (Report) Reply

essalamu alaikom; Hello I'm Samir (Biskra University)
this poem is really a very good image of the simplicity beauty. Since we don't pay for the dreams; let us dream. dreams can come true.the most important thing in the world began by a dream. dream and dream and dream when you finish dreaming so dream again :) . (Report) Reply

Hello every body. I adored the initiation that the poet uses in quickening people to dream. It is like we shouldn't think about because it is unquestionably good.In fact I started dreaming about good things that may happen to me once arriving to line three ' Life is a barren field' Yes it is unfruitful because even if it is luxuriant, it is certainly originated and made of bad things whereas in dreams there is no bad and everything is excellent. I also appreciated the word 'fly' as to be the most emotional good thing that may take place. So we shouldn't hesitate whenever we have the opportunity to dream. Thank you (Report) Reply

This is a beautiful poem but reading some of the comments I feel obliged to add the following:
This is not a poem about dreaming or dreamers - it is a poem about holding fast to one's dreams - which means that you never give them up, you try to put them into practise... and doing so you might find that your dream modifies a bit as you learn more about reality.

In a nut shell: I don't think that this poems tells you to be a dreamer - i.e. somebody who lives two lives: boring reality and nightly eyeing the ceiling thinking one could be be if everything was different. Such dreamers lead a broken-winged life already. (Report) Reply

I really appreciate this poem. It enthralled me with its simple words that carry an amazing meaning. It is like a piece of advice. Whenever I read it a strong energy and motivation invade me. Come on! dream. Dreams are neither expensive nor cheap; they cost nothing. Dream! and when your dream becomes true you will fly in the happiness' air and sink in the pleasure's sea. Simply you will be indeed alive. (Report) Reply
