Dreams Poem by Shahzia Batool

Dreams

Rating: 3.9

Unsubstantial world
Precursors of reality
Either true or false!

Seen with open eyes
Building castles in the air
Ending in surprise!

Weaving different web
Transporting the wavered mind
From the fret of life!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

dreams are one of state. we can not ignore dreams. true or false n i suppose not even a single person is there who has never dreamt. i can not say it is a purely imagination. beautiful attempt

The dreams that come to us in sleep are mostly from a flimsy world of reality and therefore unsubstantial! The dreams seen with open eyes are often castles built in air and enable us to forget the frets of life! Except the nightmares, dreams are lovely and they render life colourful.... So let us dream on! Enjoyed! !

Like everything else, dreams have a significant purpose, though we fall short of knowing. Really enjoyed this Shahzia. I especially love the third stanza, which quotes... Weaving different web Transporting the wavered mind From the fret of life!

Dream Is the one which we see opening our eyes widely for reaching our goals. Nice poem: -)

I fully agree with your poetic description of dreams. All the three stanzas bring out the imagery profound enough to provide us a luxury to indulge in dreams. Thanks for sharing, Shahzia.
