Dreams Poem by Jette Wolbers

Dreams

Daughter of God and the nature
Born being a glorious sin
As a flower on a spring day
Troubled that you will never win

One task she must complete herself
Pretty is all to ever be
Caught in thundering clouds that pass
With giants looking over thee

Blossom on the skirts and dresses
Adorable is to succeed
Living with them complications
The missing thing is hard to need

While nothing is clear for you dear
Blurriness as a mystic fall
Tremendous dreams come true in films
Nothing less there is, that is all

Craving for the extremely wise
Multiply the sums that can be
Bright wakes the morning and the day
Divide and find what´s there to see

Once this was me, now it´s you dear
Regrets should not come to you star
You decide for yourself honey
You will not take over my scar

Foul, grimy, messy you can´t be
As a broom and armies so stiff
Thoughts of playing in sand are there
Tumbling of her strict rules and cliff

Water splits to go into half
Sharp and shimmery spikes so set
Fascinating fish in oceans
Girls are not allowed to get wet

Sunbeams fade away like dry tears
Another day and night have come
Older again she is today
Longing dreams have fade and are gone

Time makes you understand it all
All is known and put on its place
Curtains hold on tight cannot move
Hopes for little more room or space

Once this was me, now it´s you dear
Regrets should not come to you star
You decide for yourself honey
You will not take over my scar

As the horizon stretches broad
Chances appear and are to hold
Choose yourself or be thrown backwards
Go with the sea or be so cold

Reading other creatures is fate
Hart wants to follow desires
Mind knows God´s advice is to fold
War between water and fires

The packed skin is screaming mom
Identity lost in strange clothes
Endless roads will not speak for thee
Battle leaves fall of the rose

Focused face full on animals
Blest as the rising sun at dawn
Told to put it all away now
Without adventure is to yawn

Once this was me, now it´s you dear
Regrets should not come to you star
You decide for yourself honey
You will not take over my scar

As the Great Plains in the big states
Not girly at the sight of thee
Elephants instead of hoopoe´s
Simple is when you feel big and free

Switch the light darkness has to come
Shiny studs are found on the ground
Silky hands were so visible
Sad to see glamour is around

Colourful planets on the roof
Rainbows stretch to the unseen lands
Stars shine truly bright far above
Promise you reach them with both hands

Pink, purple and sun are in the front
Green, blue and wind are at the tail
A small line is drawn in her mind
Science needs, but those are for male
Once this was me, now it´s you dear
Regrets should not come to you star
You decide for yourself honey
You will not take over my scar

Nothing is set and zero clear
Gleeful nails are combined with drills
Chemistry sets or manicures
Combine these and you find her wills

Luck is not for everyone
Misfortune is always around
Waterfalls stream over your face
Females and drills cannot be bound

Give your forbidden dreams away
Expressions go from happy to sad
Quite jealous you actually are
You know it´s not fair, it is bad

Living in a pack, not alone
Than no one stands up, they keep down
Never felt more betrayed by blood
Deserted emptiness, you drown

Once this was me, now it´s you dear
Regrets should not come to you star
You decide for yourself honey
You will not take over my scar

Some other good years have gone by
Fast as a blowing wind on sea
High school is her new home right now
Child at primary school not seen

An ancient thought comes back to life
The new science fair comes around
Butterflies build in your stomach
Such ideas are smacked to the ground

Older women have to shine bright
Make up is there, but can´t be traced
Warm feeling of the foundation
Glitters all over your grown up face

Cracked lips are never smooth enough
Girls have to be so kissable
Lip gloss put on to make even
Taste like cherry or green apple

Next to the poster, see that face
Reflected to two strong buns
Dying because you can´t be both
Girls wanted to be born smart sons

Once this was me, now it´s you dear
Regrets should not come to you star
You decide for yourself honey
You will not take over my scar

Knows she is not the only one
More than half like the math problems
They all have the same strange ideas
Too many listen to their mums

Almost no one chases their dreams
All do what their aged fathers said
Science and math are over now
Numbers in my head end up dead

Walk away with her girly friends
Like racing cars, hopes drive away
They convince her to do some art
Don´t explain, nothing left to say

Surrounded by the white snowflakes
The scientific futures lost
The cold opinion of others
The white letters are winter frost

Once this was me, now it´s you dear
Regrets should not come to you star
You decide for yourself honey
You will not take over my scar

The dream of intelligent girls
To chase dreams, be one of those few
The women´s voice that tells you all
That she is pretty brilliant too

It is not impossible at all
Pretty and brilliant are combined
A challenge is not bad that´s true
Come on you guys, inspire her mind

Let´s put all hands on deck for girls
Don´t let them stand alone again
Speak up together forever
Let women be equal to those men
