'Dreams Of Hope' Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

'Dreams Of Hope'

A flower can still be born
in the dry earth of our hearts.
The seeds of love
can still grow in our soul.
A message of peace can still save a single day
of lives being detroyed by the wars.
A book instead of a pulled gun
can still give us a little bit of hope.
Less children in the streets
can still give us a better future.
More justice in the courts
can still give us less violence everywhere.
Let the weapons down
rise the white flags
there will be less blood on the ground
from the soldiers.
Dark-red clouds cover the sky
While innocent bodies lie.
We have written another sad history's page
full of selfishness, ambition and hate.
Maybe, someday, the sun will rise
a better and beautiful dawn.
When the rights will be for everyone equals.
And the childrens won't be any more on the sidewalks
but in a playground inside a school.
It's never too late even it seems so far away
Believing my dreams will come true someday
Dreams of Hope.
A flower can still be born
in the dry earth of our hearts.
