Dreams Of Joy Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Dreams Of Joy

The table is set, crystal and china
Silver romance, delicate elegance
A fine candle glows in tender night
Her kisses like fine red wine

Her eyes take me to the stars
Intimate moments of sweet oasis
Out of the desert I have come
Starless nights of thirst and hunger

Love is the fountain of desire
She has called me from the wilderness
Across the lonesome sea I hear her
We glide like sea gulls in soft breezes

Words open doors of deep drama
Crimson carpets in castles mystical
Does she dream of me under the moon?
Will her smile awake the kind spring?

Pink roses color her garden heart
My darling do you feel my prayers
The window brings a song bird
I hear her whisper with moonbeams

Love is a haunting gentleness
Her poetry spins golden spells
The wind has told me of her mystery
She sends me sweet dreams of joy
