Dreamscape Poem by Aiden Florence

Dreamscape

It's barricading memories of blood
I love,
The glory days
That's so far behind,
Life would never be the same again

The soothing pains of vampires and thrust
Devouring emotions of sleepers and lust
It can't be helped
Things will never change
When all of this is such aching blood sport
Of misery and heartbreak

What dream could possibly help the ones in need,
When fantasies are such wasted atrophies?

To metamorphose in the dreamlands of false reality
Is so pathetic
Just to believe
That you're someone who you are not
For the temporary pleasure of forlorn insomnia
And then get up again with the morning sun
Only to realize,
Reality is still the same

Welcome back to the world
