Drift Apart Poem by David Orozco Jr

Drift Apart

Once,
long ago,
When we both,
were nothing more,
than a particle,
through a sea of chaos,
and scourging fire,
I met you.

From that day and beyond,
a chemical bonding emerge,
we fusion,
and we found happiness,

as time pass,
we travel together,
around and across a mass star,
till we breach the very core,
and thorough a solar flare,
threw us part.

through time,
I felt alone,
traveling light years away,
through vast cooling darkness,
into an unknown,

Until one day,
to a planet I came,
thorough complex compounding,
and molecular structure,
I took a human form,

so every know and then,
I look up at the sky,
observing,
wondering,
where you are.

and in hopes,
that we meet again,
I'll continue observing the night skies,
until I find a way.

so until then,
please wait for me,
where ever you are,
I want you to know,
that...
my heart belongs to you,
and your heart belongs to me.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I suppose I'm still looking for that someone. (I must be a real romantic fool.)
