Drive Poem by Caroline Guedes

Drive

I woke up today with a dominating urge
to pack my suitcase, get my cds and my purse
I'm going to drive, drive, drive
but it's not like I want to leave it all behind
it was just a feeling I had to follow
Don't even know where I'll end up tomorrow
All I know is what I feel
and today I want to stay behind the wheel
Roll the window down, feel the rain
on my fingertips, yeah, I'm feeling no pain
watch the sunset on the horizon
the road is my yoga mat, my meditation
Grab a tea and sip it slowly
No traffic, nothing to slow me
No specific destination, just drive along
watch the stars appear, listening to my favourite song

Perhaps, that is the soul's sole desire But the worldly traffic back fires. CP
