Drizzle Poem by ANANDA GOPAN

Drizzle

Rating: 5.0

It started as a mild shower,
with big flakes
floating
softly,
slowly
catching up my-
little town.

It was the kindest
kind of rain,
that fell.
soft and then a little heavier...

And just,
when i thought it would end,
after three such gentle days,
It kept coming,
Thunder booming
lightning
kicking the sod,
it kept going..!

Dancing from heavens,
showering onto the grounds,
rolling over the mud,
that drizzle was enjoying...

For the next two days
The rain was singing
wind was screaming and
I was
praying-
'RAIN, RAIN go away'
