Drowning Poem by Chaotic Life aka Curly Mer

Drowning

Here I am
standing at the cliff of life
ready to be free.
I dry up my tears
and swallow my pain
breathing in the suffocating air
one last time
before I let go.

The freezing ocean water glistens below
hungry to devour me.
Above me stares the bright blue sky
watching if I would really sin.
Pressure, my body begins to tremble
tremble, tremble
until I'm almost numb.
The water begins to smack harder against the shore
and the wind sweeps me closer to the edge.

This is not right, I tell myself
feeling the pain come back
choking me almost breathless.
I drop down on my knees
and drown myself in tears.
