Drowning Poem by Tyra Falconwing

Drowning

Live goes by slowly,
It’s storming all the time,
I think I’m drowning,
In the darkness all around

The sun isn’t shining,
It lost the war,
The clouds took over the sky,
To spread the growing gloom

Everyone was happy,
Now everyone is down,
Everyone wore a smile,
Now everyone wears a frown

I find myself wondering,
What happened to the world?
I find myself pondering,
When did the darkness come?

Hearts were shining brightly,
Like diamonds in the sky,
They shone all over the Earth,
With illuminating light

Now that hearts are bitter,
The stars have gone,
Everyone stares into the darkness,
Hoping they can find where they belong

The world is cold now,
Everyone looks down on,
They act sympathetic,
But do they really care

We’re surrounded by lies,
Nobody remembers how to compromise,
The world has fallen,
And now all hope is gone

All hope is gone…
We don’t belong,
In the emptiness…
The emptiness that surrounds

Life goes by slowly,
It’s storming all the time,
I think I’m drowning,
In the darkness all around…
