Drowning Poem by Rey Benipayo

Drowning

The night is fine
I am here lying outside
Staring at the sky alone
My dear, how are you?
I miss you much.

A hundred days away
Means a thousand years to me
Feels like I am in deep water
I am drowning here tonight
I can’t reach the ground.

Please help me my dear
Save me before I breakdown
I need your sweet embrace
But it is impossible
You are far a distance.

I am drowning in deep
Looks like nothing can help me
It is you that I know
The only one to rescue me
In this thwarted time.

The night is in silence
I count all the stars
But I still can’t sleep
How I wish this to vanish
Before the beautiful dawn.

It's almost a plea, very good description-'counting all the stars' I like it!
