Drowning Poem by Andrew Tom

Drowning

In silent nights I dream of your face
Staring crystal clear into the blue
Desperately you tried to pull up my hand
I slipped and fallen without you

Though you didn't succeed
Don't be afraid to let this go
When tragedy happens again
Promise you will not
Attempt to be my hero

If you let me drown and die
As I suffocate throughout the open tides
I will wait for the mermaids to come
And take me into the endless shores
Goodbye
