Drowning In My Sins Poem by Aly Kay Churchill

Drowning In My Sins

I'm drowning in my sins,
Further and further away from God I go,
As this worldly life I'm living begins,
Starting to slowly drown. I know.

Temptations are everywhere I turn,
It's hard to say no,
If I get to close I'll get burned,
I need to turn around and let go.

My flesh wants to do what it wants
But my heart is saying 'You know whats right'
He has a grip on me, and its he that haunts,
I need to be strong with all my might.

I'm drowning in my sins,
I have bowed down and prayed,
And now my born again life begins,
And the start of a new day.
