Drunkenly In Love Poem by Akua Achampong

Drunkenly In Love

Rating: 5.0

Bit to drink but not drunk,
Not in love with life...but think i am with you.
Don't know what love is, hasn't sunk
In deep enough for me to fall through
Not in the thick of love
But enough to know its a tease,
Please let go of me, set me free.
Something glorious to anticipate.
Something thats been cut too deep.
Can't turn from it, it's too late.
Pull yourself together- no time to weep.
But soon you'll crumble,
Soon you'll tumble,
Trip and fall head over heels
So fast that you won't be able to feel
Life.

I love the diametric interplay of words. In love with a pers, on but not with life. A true Vapour of Promise!
