Dry Bone Poem by Asit Kumar Sanyal

Dry Bone

A dog was chewing a long dry bone
It was injuring his gum, inner wall
of the mouth
And causing to bleed
The dog was thinking
the blood coming from the dry bone
He chewed.... and chewed
Realized the fact when pain started
He left the bone there
went away
Another dog came immediately
Picked up the bone
And started chewing in same style
A drunk was watching it
Could not control himself
Said.... bloody fool
Have a glass of wine first
Then enjoy the bone
Look at me
I am a empty pocket man
But enjoying the status of a king.
