Duped Poem by Jhane Reyes

Duped

In the midst of somber night
The brilliant sky seized by the cloud
Ruined the reverie and bright insight
Burst into tears and shout out loud

Darkness surrounded then rain drop fell
Shrilling thunder rang like a bell
Piercing lightning brought a deafening yell
Numb with fear and truly unwell

Stranded in an empty and dreary field
There’s nowhere to run and nothing to shield
Slowly bend the knees almost to yield
No more dreams to shape and build

Sense the kisses of chilly breeze
That makes the whole body freeze
Who can give a comfort and caress?
Uphold to get out this kind of mess
