Dust Of Sorrow Poem by David Harris

Dust Of Sorrow

With any bereavement
the dust of sorrow
lingers over us for a while.
Some dust takes longer
than others to settle.
Some can go on for years
never really settling at all.
All of us encounter the dust
at some point in our lives.
When we lose something
we love human or animal
I still believe not all dust settle.
That we carry a little
for everyone close we lose.
Time maybe a great healer,
but time can last forever
as does our memory.
