Duty Poem by Maria Sudibyo

Duty

Thing called duty never means something we like
It’s an order, an excuse, sacrifice or requirement
It never sounds pleasure or fun
It feels formal, distant, cold and a must
Something we must do or there’ll be sanction
Thing called duty always means burden
If we don’t let our heart to play around
