Dwelling Poem by Pathrese Lei Mari Abejuela

Dwelling

The temptation of turning into
The dwelling of a sin,
You resist, yet, after a while
You still dwell in it.

Will you stop this?
This temptation like a turmoil.
When will you leave this
When it holds your body.

Stop.
No more
Should there be.
Enough.

Rise and no more should there be.
But how if it, too, dwells on you.
Stop.
Enough.

Let thy soul transcend
From the darkest earthly visions.
No more.
Enough.
